Balcony Garden – Blooming this Week

Alpine cinquefoil or Potentilla neumanniana ‘Nana’ is growing like a weed and is in bloom this week on the balcony. It’s really responded to the cool spring and is thriving in the hot July sun. This plant is native to Alberta and BC and its little yellow, buttercup flowers are bright and long lasting. It’s building a nice carpet of foliage in the alpine troughs.
